Bala Natya Yoga was created by Monica B Groover PhD in 2005. Bala means children. It also means strength. Natya is musical theatre and movement and Yoga included the yoga asanas. This is a gentle 'movement' oriented flowing, yoga for children and teens.

This is not a traditional Hatha or Ashtanga class. It is an integrated form of Yoga that combines breathing, stretching, dance movement, musical beats.

This Yoga blends yogic alignment principals with the captivating movements of Classical Indian Dance from India, with Yoga. You will learn a unique way to develop balance, poise, strength, and fluid grace. Through the subtle use of your eyes and hands, combined with rhythmic footwork, you will discover new heights of creative potential, and connect with the flow of beauty and devotion.

Mudras are used for healing, concentration, and expanding consciousness, and they are an essential part of Odissi Dance, Indian Yoga, and Meditation. In Indian Dance, mudras are used to communicate deep feelings and tell intricate stories. Energetically, they hold the power to transform raw life-power into subtle spiritual expression.

YOGA MASSAGE

Discover a renewed sense of inner power and youthful radiance, while learning unique exercises that tone and sculpt your body and uplift your spirit. Ignite the sacred feminine and open the flow of creative energy. Focus is placed on massaging and slow, but, deep stretching with the help of a partner, or your instructor by moving naturally from the lower belly, with a special emphasis on opening the chakras. Goddess Meditation Workshop

FULL MOON DAYS - EVENING 7 PM

In this workshop, we will explore more detailed expressions along with body movements, and postures of CHOWKA and TRIBHANGA. Special emphasis will be on connecting to natural movement that nourishes the divine feminine and expresses the spirals and circles inherent in a woman’s body.
